Autumn artists' gathering  October 29, 2011

Breeze Gallery

Stan Krumm, Judith , Suzanne Wright

The Gallery is brimming with great art: and, as always, it is creatively displayed amid the other eclectic Breeze merchandise. The Saturday evening gathering and the participants were even more rewarding than the scrumpscious Halloween cupcakes JI am grateful for the extent and quality of the support for local artists at the Breeze.

Polarity, or action and reaction: we meet in every part of nature; in darkness and in light; in heat and in cold; in the ebb and flow of water; in male and female; in the equation of quantity and quality…in the systole and diastole of heart….

 US e-vite

Artists across the province working in any media were invited to submit work to be juried into this exhibition which will explore the theme "Us". As a collection of individuals we make up our families, our neighbourhoods, communities, towns and state, sometimes blending in easily to those around us, sometimes sticking out because of our differences. Homogenous or disparate, what makes us who we are? This exhibition offers a range of perspectives through recent work by artists from across British Columbia. Judith's work "Embody" was juried into this regional exhibit.

August 2010

10 x 10 exhibit

This summer marks the tenth anniversary of Two Rivers Gallery and we celebrate with our "alumni" exhibition, 10x10x10.  Over 45 artists, who have exhibited in main gallery solo or small group shows over our first ten years, have contributed to the occasion. Each artist has responded to the challenge to create a 10"x10" work of art. The resulting artworks serve as reminders of past exhibitions and as a way of checking in on old friends.

Bridges: An Arts & Culture Festival in Our City

The festival  took  place at the University of Northern British Columbia. There were displays and performances of original work by Prince George visual artists, writers, and musicians; academic presentations, panel discussions on the cultural economy of small cities and the culture of small cities, with a focus on Prince George; and workshops for both artists and community organizers.  Local artists and arts organizations were in the spotlight as they shared audiences, networked, and built new partnerships with one another.
